RP-SMA

RP-SMA is probably the most frequent used connector within Wireless Networking products. Used by the vast majority of manufacturers of Routers, PCI cards and Access Points. The difference between the SMA and the RP-SMA connector is that the poles are reversed, an RP-SMA male without hole is an SMA male.

RP-TNC

RP-TNC is a slightly larger and more stable type of connector than the RP-SMA connector. High quality products, such as Linksys and Cisco use this connector most frequently. The RP-TNC connector can be found in Linksys and Cisco Routers and Access Points. Linksys uses however RP-SMA connectors with their PCI cards.

MC-Card (RP-MMCX)

MC-Card is an connector for mobile PC Card that have became more rare. The MC-Card connector can be found in some models of the Orinoco, Lucent, Apple PC Card and Access Points, also some 3G data card models.

MMCX

MMCX is also an mobile connector that is common in for example, Senao PC Card. This type of contact is also common in GPS receivers for connecting GPS antennas.

N

N connector is an good old connector. Handles high power and is also very resistant to moisture. Very good for High Frequencies and Wireless Network installations. Unfortunately, this type of connector is not common with so many products for Wireless Networks. Only the most exclusive electronic products tend to have N connectors. Can be found on Cisco most exclusive outdoor Access Points and also our own outdoor Access Point TP-Bridge.

FME

FME is not only commonly used for Satellite TV. The connector is also common for 3G / UMTS equipment.

Hirose MS-147

Hirose MS-147 is a relatively uncommon connector and can be found in for example 3G datacards from NEC and Merlin.

Huawei

Huawei is a popular manufacturer of 3G / UMTS datacards. They have also their own designed antenna connector for their cards.
